ASCCC Fall Plenary Session Irvine November 7-9, 2013
Academic Academy Napa February 21-22, 2014 Focus will be on General Education and student success
Accreditation Institute La Jolla February 7-8, 2014

 

Other issues that ASCCC is working on:

  • Open Education Resources---based on CA legislation from last session (SB 1052 and 1053)
    • ICAS (Intersegmental Committee of Academic Senates, from CCC, CSU and UC) is putting the finishing touches on a grant to implement SB 1052.
  • Accreditation
    • City College of San Francisco
    • Use of the word “recommendation” in the reports
  • Several papers being worked on and will be discussed at Fall Session
    • Multiple Measures
    • Credit by Exam (credit for MOOCs being one of the topics explored)
    • Distance Education Courses—both student and faculty preparation (based on resolutions from Spring 2013)
