Statewide Databases Contract -- EBSCO Renewal Update
We are thrilled to announce that the CCC Technology Center has successfully renegotiated the next five-year contract (2018-2022) for a statewide database purchase, and once again EBSCO was awarded the contract. The following databases are included in this upcoming contract:
- Academic Search Complete*
- America: History & Life with Full Text
- Business Source Elite with Regional Business News
- ERIC
- Health Source - Consumer Edition
- Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition
- MasterFILE Complete*
- MEDLINE
- Newspaper Source Plus
- Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection
*upgrades from our former (2013-2017) contract with EBSCO
Included with Academic Search Complete
- MAS Ultra - School Edition
- Military & Government Collection
- Primary Search
That said, the following databases are falling off our statewide contract, and during the month of January 2018 EBSCO will be disabling your college’s access to them:
- Auto Repair Reference Center
- Book Index with Reviews
- Consumer Health Complete
- Professional Development Collection
- Religion & Philosophy Collection
The new EBSCO database subscriptions, Academic Search Complete and MasterFILE Complete, have been added to every CCLC member’s account. Here are the links to use for accessing the databases:

The above links are for those who are authenticated by IP address. Contact EBSCO’s Technical Support if you use another authentication type and therefore need a different link for accessing the databases.
Proxy Server users: add your proxy prefix to the above links.
EBSCO Discovery users: Be sure to enable both databases in your EDS profile in EBSCOadmin so that the databases are included in every EDS search
Persistent Links Need Changing
Any users and faculty who have saved “persistent links” to articles that were originally copied from the Premier versions of Academic Search and MasterFILE should update their links to the articles that are now accessible in the Complete versions. EBSCO will keep the Premier versions live through the end of March but the links will no longer work starting in April.
