Colleagues –  March is just around the corner!  And that always means we gather to network, compare notes, plan, and look ahead!

 

CCL is pleased to open registration for the CCL Annual Meeting 2025!

Thursday and Friday, March 13 & 14

Embassy Suites Hotel Riverfront (100 Capitol Mall, Sacramento CA)

Lunch on the terrace at 12noon and program begins at 1pm

 

This annual conference brings together the leaders of the California Community Colleges libraries for a full agenda of presentations and sessions to explore issues important to CCC libraries and librarians and more. An agenda with more info will be sent out soon. Stay tuned! In the meantime, we are pleased to announce our two featured speakers:

  1. Melissa Mallon, Associate University Librarian for Teaching & Learning at Vanderbilt University
  2. Nick Tanzi, Assistant Director of the South Huntington Public Library

 

Who attends?

  • Library Deans, Directors, Head Librarians, Coordinators, Dept. Chairs (usually, the person your institution has identified as the primary contact in the CCL Directory)
  • If that person cannot attend, your college can send a substitute

 

Cost Info

CCL covers registration, hotel stay (Thursday 3/13), and most meals. We encourage attendees to ask your college to cover parking and transportation with Professional Development Funds. Please see details below.

Library Management 101

New to library management? Join us for a CCL’s Library Management 101 biennial workshop to learn about the nuts and bolts of managing a library. Meet new leaders and gain important information to start your new position off right! Open to all library managers (dean, director, coordinator, head librarian, dept. chair, etc.) who are new in their position or have less than two years managing Community College libraries in California. Library Management 101 will be offered the morning of Thursday March 13 before CCL Annual. Limited seats available, includes hotel stay for March 12.
